Without digging too deeply into the Internets you will definitely find some shady stuff.  SwagBucks sounds like a great deal on the surface. Do Stuff, Get Paid, right?  There's no two ways about it, how much time are you willing to spend doing stuff, to get cash and gift cards?

How does it work?

1. Sign Up with SwagBucks
2. Click on something that has a reward of Bucks
3. Rinse / Repeat

It's so dead simple.  Watch a video, Take a survey, Sign up for a different service.  Heck you can even go shopping or start a new Job and earn Swagbucks (SB).  There has got to be at least 100 other sites that do the exact same thing as Swagbucks on the Internet.  But if there is anything positive about Swagbucks it's that it has been around for a long time and has not failed or fallen into obscurity like so many others.

Each time you do something new, you will earn more SB.  And each SB is worth about $0.01.  So, if you do a task that offers 40 SB, that's about $0.40.  If you do something that offers 15,000 SB, that's about $150.

Once you have more than 10 SB you can start buying things from the Redeem section.  But if it's Cash or Gift Cards that you want, you'll need to have at least 500 SB.  And Gift cards always pay out better than direct to cash, by roughly 10%.

Why do this?

There are many ways to advertise on the Internet.  The one we all seem to dislike the most are ads that are plastered all over the websites that we tend to visit.   Swagbucks has managed to get around that for it's vendors and advertisers.  You don't see ads on Swagbucks because everything is an ad. 

By directly paying the consumer to do the very thing for which advertising was invented, the vendor or manufacturer gets exactly what they want and for a lot less than it would have cost them to hopefully acquire their target market.  SwagBucks is skipping past Google and Facebook to deliver customers directly to the vendor. 

Tricks to get more out of the App

Depending on your interest these next steps could be good or bad

• Pick the HIGH VALUE items. Your time has value, don't waste it
• Consider the TIME to SB ratio.  If you earn 3 SB for 3 mins, that's only $0.60 hour
• Download an app that appeals to you.  Apps have high value for low effort & some have bonuses
• DO NOT SPAM this app to everyone you know.  Find what you like and offer it
• INSTALL SwagBucks as a browser plugin, you can earn for doing searches, very low time cost
